Search Engines Results and my High School

I attended Covenant Christian High School in DeMotte, Indiana. I searched my high school's name with DeMotte written after it in the search box on various search engines. The three search engines I tested were Google, Yahoo!, and Bing. Below are the results comparisons.

Google:

When I searched my high school, the first result on the page was my high school's home page (www.cchrhs.org) along with a Google maps picture of the school for directions. There were clustered links beneath the school's webpage but there were no sponsored ads on this page at all. The second result on the page was an education website (http://www.education.com/schoolfinder/us/indiana/demotte/covenant-christian-high-school/) that reviews various high school and provides users with information and reviews about the high school. The Third result on the page was actually my high schools Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Covenant-Christian-High-School/114750721913797).

The fourth result on the Google search was actually a site that allows anyone to purchase and design their own Covenant Christian High School apparel (http://www.mylocker.net/indiana/demotte/covenant-christian-high-school-demotte/).

Yahoo!:

When I searched my high school on Yahoo!, the first result was my high school's homepage along with a Yahoo! map next to it giving directions. Surprisingly, the second result on the page was also my high school's homepage but it didn't have a map alongside it. The third result was a website that reviews and provides information and statistics on private schools (http://www.privateschoolreview.com/school_ov/school_id/9979). The fourth website was actually the same education website that showed up in the initial Google results providing information about my high school (http://www.education.com/schoolfinder/us/indiana/demotte/covenant-christian-high-school/). There were still no sponsored ads that I found in this search

Bing:

When I search Bing for my high school, the first website result was my high school's homepage with a Bing map next to it for directions. The second and third websites were the same two education and private school review websites from my Google and Yahoo! results that provided information and reviews about my high school. The fourth website that came up was a website giving the sporting events information and scores from another Covenant Christian High School (http://highschoolsports.pennlive.com/game/score/1180578/). There were no sponsored ads that resulted from this search.

I was surprised to see some of the results from these search engines, but for the most part the searches were fairly accurate. In particular, Google and Yahoo! seemed to have better and more accurate results than Bing. It was definitely an interesting test and I am curious to try other searches and see how the results compare.
